Franklin County Resilient & Ready Storm Recovery Program

As you may know, New York State designated the Franklin County Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC) to administer emergency funding for critical home repairs from damage caused during Tropical Storm Debby on August 9th and 10th, 2024.

Homeowners in Franklin County who suffered storm damage can now apply for assistance to cover emergency repairs not funded by other programs or insurance. This is a reimbursement program, meaning homeowners will need to cover repair costs up front and then submit documentation to receive reimbursement.

Information on the program, including guidelines, FAQ and application link, is now available at https://adirondackfrontier.com/living-here/housing/

We will be holding 3 optional information sessions to explain eligibility requirements and the application process.

  • September 19, 2024, at 6 PM (Fort Covington Adult Center)

Funding is provided on a first come first serve basis so we encourage homeowners to complete an application as soon as possible. Applications will be accepted until Monday, October 7th, 2024 at 5PM.

Many affected Franklin County homeowners already provided New York State with their contact information so that they could be notified when the application for assistance became available. We will contact each of these homeowners. However, any affected homeowner, even if they did not submit their contact information to the state, is eligible to apply for assistance.

Attached is a flyer that you are welcome to print and distribute or post on social media.

Homeowners who have questions can contact Rachel Child at (518) 651-2957 or at help@adirondackfrontier.com.

Thank you in advance for getting the word out about this important program.
